Portal rules

"Do not post a "demo" that has no functionality. If you have a decent demo to post, then you should consider posting them to the Alphas section. If we catch you with multiple entries in the Portal such as "Crap Movie V0.3" then "Crap Movie V0.5", we will delete them because they are annoying."

Rename the previous versions of this movie "DELETEPP001" so that Wade will delete them if he sees them, that way you will have only the final version of the movie and will be in compliance with portal rules.

It's pretty good, but the lip syncing was pretty poor. work on lip syncing. It was also very long, which you would think was a good thing, but I think alot of people are losing interest after a while. I guess it's just not funny enough. In my opinion it would have been better to draw and animate the backgrounds of the live report thingies instead of having photos/videos. I know you were probably trying to make it cheesy but most people appreciate it more if you actaully work on stuff harder. Primarily, practice lip syncing.

Cheating the potal

Seeing as the only thing that was actually made for this submission was the innapropriate random ass penetration at the end I think this is unfair on authors who try hard to make a movie that will pass judgement when you just take group intros and put crap at the end of them. Group intros should be banned from the portal. Another way of looking at this is that it doesnt really hurt anyone, Newgrounds has no shortage of web space or bandwidth and it doesn't really matter that you're flodding the portal with crap. It would be nice if you didn't though; just have some respect.

I didn't really think it captured the energy of the song to be honest. The animation was very good and it was very well put together though. Keep it up! SOAD = pwn

fascinating

I've seen a few movies in which clocks talk extensively about a certain topic. Do you find a big internet page about the subject and copy it into Speakonia or research it lot's and copy & paste valid facts along with your own knowledge? It's a funny thing to do. I watched this all the way through. I thought that nothing happened once he had stopped talking and minimised the window, only to find 'Teh End' when I restored it. I thought it was very lazy to have such a long pause before the end, especially when the wobbly arrow thing was still there, implying that he was still talking, even when he wasn't. Please avoid this error in the future.

Any flash needs sound to be truely appreciated; you could have had a jingly tune in the background, and either santa going "Ho ho ho!" or the girl giggling when you go onto the final scene... if possible the flashlight mask could have been faded around the outside, it lookes a bit weird just having a solid circle of light. Other than that this was a funny little submission.

I see many saying the same thing about the sound, and I actually feel dumb for not doing it... it was for a contest and had to be 50kbs... without thinking I immediately posted it here after adding the NG logo... live and learn huh...

not a bad movie... well put together... can't say it was hillarious though. The rain didn't loop properly, it paused slightly before it started again. You either need to edit the sound file or make a layer for sound whereby the sound is on stream and starts again before it finished each time, if that makes sense...

This movie is grossly overrated. It's a cool song but next to masterpeices of animation and humor like the Brackenwood series and Fallen Angel this shouldn't stand a chance. People shouldn't vote high on a movie just because they support its cause.

Brackenwood is like the opposite of my animation. The graphics are flawless, but the purpose and such leave much to be desired.

Here, The song (in my opinion) and message are flawless, and the animation leaves some to be desired.

I like the way the animation is, I'm sure I could have animated this 'masterpiece'fully if I had wasted a bunch of time making backgrounds and such, but I think it would have taken away from the point.

You say "People shouldn't vote high on a movie just because they support its cause." , where it is just as logical to say "People shouldn't vote high on a movie just because they like the animation".

Both are true, the top rated flashes should have a mixture of all these things. I think "Dad is Home" should be the top rated flash, because its not lacking in any area. I think the fact that the brackenwood series dominates the portal is unfair to us flash artists who haven't worked for disney.

That was well drawn, well put together and I thought pretty funny. I think it deserves a higher score than it has so I voted 5... I cant see why everybody hates it so much... I say keep it up!

It wasnt bad but there were alot of unnessissary pauses between speech. Try to make it flow more.
